12 and under Junior Orange Bowl World Champion Cori Gauff put a lot of pressure on herself to win this title and many expected her to win it. She had been playing and winning some 18 and under national tournaments as a 12 year old and was expected to win easily. She did not lose a set, but as expected when playing against the best players in the world there were certainly a couple of matches that were a bit tight and not that easy to deal with mentally. Eight months later, she became the finalist in the U.S Open Juniors event as a 13 year old! That is Jeff Drock (Yours truly) with her. He is the guy who kept her injury free, helped her increase her tennis specific strength and conditioning, and made certain that her tennis specific footwork was very coordinated!!!
